So I’m just now getting my head on straight after the show last night. It was a gorgeous day! I had an amazing time… so happy to be apart of Break’n Through’s incredible team. Tao Experience really pulled off not only a dope event but created a platform for many deserving artists who had been unheard for FAR too long…After I got off stage last night I really got a chance to step back and enjoy the moment. I feel like I’ve come such a long way over the course of the past 3 years and while the love and the respect from my fans and my peers has been there and steadily increased, I’ve always been a tough pill for the mainstream to swallow. But shows like last night are proving to me that no matter what, passion, drive and talent when combined will ALWAYS win. There are still a million and one biases against me and the type of music I make, still people trying to shaft the underground and keep artist like me out of the public eye, still people hating on my journey and the success’s I am beginning to have. Still people who dont like the fact that I’m a beast I can spit and I can sing. Still people out there who hate the fact that I will never apologize for loving hiphop as much as I love making incredible pop music…Still people out there who arnt ready for who I am and what that means for the game… thru all the haters doubters over the past 3 years I’ve stayed silent and focused, because every day I wake up Chey.N, living my dream and living MY life and no one else in this world can do that for me… BUT last night I got on that stage and that was the first of many silent FUCK YOU’s TO EVERY ONE OF THOSE LAME, SINGLE MINDED, IGNORANT, EGOTISTIC, NEGATIVE MF’S I’VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF showing up MEETING…*SMLES* and I’ll tell you what…. it felt damn good. Stay tuned ;o)
