I dont know if there is a title for an entry saying goodbye to Michael Jackson…I woke up this morning just overcome with sadness so deep…. You ask me who my favourite arists of all time is and I’ll say Prince but you ask me why I am here today…why I do what I do, why I understand what the word ICON truly means.. and that is a simple two words Michael Jackson…My heart is breaking for music, my heart is breaking for his legacy and the kids who will never fall in love with him the way I was blessed to. I remember being about 5 or 6 I was in the UK when I say MJ live for the first time it was the Dangerous Tour in Bucharest and the minute he exploded onto the stage my heart stopped… I cant put that moment into words if I tried but it changed my life ever since that day I’ve followed my dreams without a doubt in my heart of where I would end up… through many failures, many success’s, through the struggles and the joy. That man was the only artist I have ever seen in my lifetime who united the world and he will be sooo missed

Hey Kids quick check check, show #1 in Atlanta was dope last night! So happy to be out here but your girl is EXHAUSTED! Omg touring is NO joke a 16 hour drive is so insane, as soon as I got into Atlanta I collapsed in the nearest bed and slept until the next day lol which also happened to be show day. Needless to say I was semi delirious at the show… but my atliens helped me out with some great energy. I even stopped in the stu for a little bit… it was dope! Ok, so I’m watching the Lakers game right now (I’m sure a bunch of you are watching it too) Lets go LA! If we lock up that championship tonite this will end as the perfect weekend…fingers crossed. Lets hear a bit from the King of Whip music aka Rich Boy. Chuuuuuch

Do you ever have those days when you realize…my life is the shit? I’m sitting here right now looking at a complete mess. Right next to me is a “ppl I have to call back list” that is 2 pages long (I’m not even fucking joking) various bags of luggage litter the floor with clothes and shoes and laptop cables exploding every which way. If I wanted to get dressed right now (I’m in my pj’s) I would be shit outta luck which is why I just shamelessly hit up the G-store in pj’s, Supras and loks (hey at least my shoe and framewear was on point). Theres still evidence of KFC dinner on the table and I swear my guitar mysteriously has atleast an inch of dust on it (Its black which makes it so much worse). Not to mention I have 5 shows coming up (all out of town) that have no set list, still need transportation arranged for the dancers and wardrobe. (SIDENOTE: I’M PERFORMING AT HIGHLINE BALLROOM JULY 30TH FOR ALL MY NY PPL TICKETS GO ON SALE IN JUNE CHECK www.cheynonline.com FOR DETAILS) 

Now normally this would send me into some sort of stress attack. I would be listing and scheduling and budgeting (I am a schedule/budget FREAK) all the things I need to do to fix the situation. I would be callin people maniacally trying to rush each convo so that I could make it thru the entire call list by the scheduled “end time”. I would probably be taking some of that frustration out on the wrong person who would promptly body check me lmao and tell me to get it together (which I would). But for some reason today is different…all I can think is man. I am so lucky! I remember being 17 and the years I spent working my way up thru the nightclub scene in NY struggling/ being flat broke at first and then making money, getting to travel, and ball out. It was the best of times and the worst of times. Kind of makes you understand those classic disney movies you watch as a kid like Peter Pan and Oz, and ALice & Wonderland. I always used to watch that shit and think you dumbass’s better stay in paradise! But I guess nothing is paradise without purpose and that whole 5 years away from my music spent in the “rabbit hole” becoming the “Club Kid” (EP drops next month!) left me just wanting to find my way home. I’m not a regrets type of chick so I just decided to up and do it and I did! Now here I am, eventho I live out of a suitcase, and I dont have enough hours in the day EVER, I budget like its goin out of style, I work waaaay too much sometimes, and I miss my family and the people I love constantly…but I’m home and thats why my life is the shit! So I guess thats my little drop of wisdom for the day. Find home=find happiness.

Hawaii! Is amazing!

So gorgeous and such good times…. Finally heading into studio this week to finish up all the ideas I’ve begun on this trip and I’m stok’d! Hawaii, California are out the way..next stop Atlanta..I am extremely frazzled because I have so much to do, and SO MUCH SHIT TO CATCH UP ON. Grrr…Well tis the life right, I’m sure my friends and associates alike want to kill me right now because every conversation I have lasts roughly 2 minutes before I have to start doing something else…wack! But I am getting back in gear…Chey will be back in no time..For now marinate on the snaps ;o)

Since I’m in for a 16 hour flight I cant wait to get on the plane and start watching Famliy Guy tho…yes! See you in Honolulu! Love ya’ll
